Promotion of decentralized Solid Waste Management so that wastes are handled, treated & disposed of safely at the site with active participation from citizen groups and mainstreaming the rag-pickers for their livelihood
Key Learnings
Decentralised SWM option is best suited ULBs having waste generation less than 10-15 tons. 5 ton capacity of sanitation park can be created

Impact
Zero waste at zero cost to the ULB, More than 95% source segregation, 3 tons of waste diverted from landfill every day. Operating cost is met from various revenue streams.
